A constituency deserves an MP who knows the area, remains present and answers directly to local people.

Local People provides a shared identity, systems, candidate checks, campaign support and national visibility. Candidates remain free to make decisions based on their constituency and their own judgement.

Founded and led by Martyn OBrien, the movement aims to make standing for Parliament realistic for capable people who are not career politicians.
